Rian & Anja :: Wedding, Kwalata
After doing numerous weddings over the past years, it remains a daunting task to capture everything the wedding day has to offer without any help or assistance. But since the bridal couple insisted on not having a second photographer present, I had to make it on my own – apart from that, my usual assistant photographer Hannelie had her own wedding to record, so help was out of the question anyway!
So it ended up that Rian and Anja’s wedding was my first solo wedding and as much as I was scared out of my wits and nervous beyond belief, they absolutely adored their photos and were ecstatic with the results. So much so that apart from their verbal thanks, I received a “thank you” card in the post a couple of weeks after their wedding as well as an SMS to thank me again for doing such a wonderful job – they are the type of clients who makes what I do just so much more rewarding!
Rian and Anja were both very easy to work with, always smiling and open to all my suggestions, even though Rian had the worst headache / migraine imaginable (as someone who gets bad headaches and migraines myself, I know how one feels when a migraine hits you) – I never would have known if Anja didn’t mention it to me, so once again Rian, thanks for being such a sport and not complaining once!
Their wedding ceremony was held in the Kandelaar Reformed Church they’ve both been attending since their childhood and the reception was held at Kwalata, just north of Pretoria near Hammanskraal.
I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as they do.
